Lviv Zoological Museum will conduct a free online tour

The Zoological Museum of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv invites Lviv residents to its online broadcast of the tour on May 18. This was reported on the Facebook page of the institution.
An online tour is organized to celebrate International Museum Day.

“Our Museum is still closed, so we will try to” meet “with you in a new format. As part of the celebration of the International Museum Day (May 18), we offer you to visit the Zoological Museum online! We will conduct an online broadcast of the tour on our Facebook page, “the museum said in a statement.

The online broadcast will begin on May 18 at 1 p.m. The tour will last approximately 1-1.5 hours.

By the way, the museum has unique exhibits of mammoths and rhinos, which were inaccessible for more than 20 years before. It took about two years to restore them.
Zoological Museum of LNU. I. Franko is one of the oldest university museums in Europe. It was founded as the Cabinet of Natural History in 1784. It acquired the status of the Zoological Museum on February 25, 1885.

The scientific collections of the museum number more than 180 thousand exhibits, of which about 10 thousand form an exposition. The museum’s funds represent the fauna of all continents and all waters of the globe. Today the museum has four halls, a corridor-gallery, a storage room and a working space with a total area of 469.4 m2.

Museum collections are of exceptional importance to science and are virtually unreproducible in the event of their loss or destruction. They are important sources for studying the problems of environmental change, conservation and restoration of biodiversity as the basis for the functioning of the biosphere. This is practically the only form of scientifically documented material evidence of species diversity and changes in the habitats of animals, which can be subjected to critical revision according to modern taxonomy.

A car cinema was allowed to open in Lviv and rules were developed

In April, it became known that the first open-air car cinema would open in Lviv, as announced by the organizers of the event. However, the city council later banned the opening of the car cinema due to quarantine.

But already now the city commission on thermal power and emergency situations allowed to work car cinemas since May 12. The City Council has developed a protocol for their work. The rules were promulgated by Lviv Deputy Mayor Andriy Moskalenko.

The date of the first session is still being agreed. The films will be broadcast by the Ukrainian film distribution company Kinolife Distribution.

Tickets can only be purchased online, and their verification must be contactless. Employees of the car cinema must be in personal protective equipment, which must be changed at least once every two hours. They will also have their temperature measured several times during the shift. If an employee of a car cinema has signs of ARI, he will not be allowed to work.

As for food in the car cinema, it is possible only by prior order in the format of online delivery.

There should be no more people than seats in the car. And getting out of the car during, before or after the session is prohibited.

1 ticket is designed exclusively for 1 parking space (in other words – 1 car). To watch, you will need to tune the radio to the appropriate FM wave and watch the movie. The wave will be indicated on the ticket.

There must be a demarcation marking in this car cinema. The first 2 rows will be used for cars such as sedan, station wagon, hatchback, and the 3rd and 4th rows will be designed for crossovers and minivans.

Lviv Philharmonic will hold an online concert dedicated to Mother’s Day

On the second Sunday of May, Ukraine traditionally celebrates Mother’s Day. This day is a great opportunity to sincerely thank all mothers for their love, care and devotion. Thus, the Lviv National Philharmonic invites everyone on Sunday, May 10 at 18:00 to an online event on the occasion of this holiday.

Such stars as Oksana Mukha, Sofia Soloviy, Yuriy Gadzetsky, Natalia Kuhar will perform for all mothers on the stage of the Philharmonic. They will perform their favorite thematic songs and opera arias accompanied by piano and guitar.

The famous Ukrainian singer Oksana Mukha will perform real song pearls to the accompaniment of Oleg Yarema (guitar): “My dear mother”, “I will go to distant mountains”, “What a moonlit night” and others.

The unsurpassed Sofia Soloviy, an opera singer who successfully performs in the best opera houses in Europe and the world, accompanied by Olena Markevich (piano) will perform a virtuoso and extremely tender aria of the Mermaid from Dvorak’s opera, the famous “Chornobryvtsi” and lyrical Italian lyrics Don’t forget me ”(“ Don’t forget me ”).

Popular arias and duets from operas by Cornhold, Rossini, Handel, as well as the world-famous “Ave Maria” by Schubert will be performed by a talented couple of opera performers – Yuri Gadzetsky and Natalia Kuhar – accompanied by Alina Shevchenko (piano).

“May 10, Sunday, will be a wonderful holiday – Mother’s Day! At the same time, we understand that no one will plan any events on this day. But no epidemic can undo the word “mom,” which is extremely important to everyone.

And imagine, for all mothers in one online concert such stars as Sofia Soloviy, Oksana Mukha, Yuriy Gadzetsky, Natalia Kuhar will sing! It seems to me that this will be a great event, because such a concert, even in live performance, in public, would certainly be sold out. But in the new conditions, in my opinion, this festive event will also be no less successful! ” – said the General Director of the Philharmonic Volodymyr Syvokhip.

The video broadcast of the concert will take place on the official YouTube channel on the page of the Lviv National Philharmonic.
